Character Name: Steven "Steve" Coulson
Character Journal: grandson_of_coul
Physical Description:
Age: 27
DOB: November 4, 1986
PB: Patrick J Adams
Character Location/Home: Varies; usually the Helicarrier
Alignment: SHIELD (take that as you will)
Relatives: Phil Coulson (father - living), Vivian Roberts (mother - deceased), Nikki Coulson (twin - living)
Abilities: Steve has the same abilities as a man in his late 20s that gets regular rigorous exercise. he has a good deal of physical training and weapons expertise
Weaknesses and Flaws: Steve is a baseline human. No mutant abilities, no serums, nothing of the like. He is quite squishible and stabbable because of this gross oversight in genetics.
Personality: Steve is very much a Beta personality: he likes to think of himself as the person who gets the important stuff done in the background. Not that he minded field work, he's just much more comfortable in a role where he's the supporting one. But he has the well known Coulson dry wit and sarcasm, and even when he's being supportive he can prove to be quite droll when dealing with people. Double with superheroes who are flashy as hell and don't think on what they do (because they always cause so much paperwork!).
Backstory: Steve was born ready to be an agent. The son of the long term Avengers liaison Phil Coulson and his paramour, a concert cellist Vivian Roberts (who died when Steve was very young). Often one pushed by his father to some greatness (with his patented "conviction" speech), Steve has been a member of SHIELD since the ripe age of 18, the lowest legal age allowed for agents. After some grunt-work, Steve moved away from fieldwork (and possible life-and-death situations) to take up a much more comfortable desk job, one away from superheroes and craziness. however, he seems to have the Coulson luck in not being able to avoid the madness. Even when separated from his twin Nikki, he always seems to have the luck of someone in the field, even when he is away.
